PURPOSE      The DP-2 path sensor is a primary transducer and is designed to work with devices for continuous remote measurement of the distance traveled and determining the direction of movement. Design and operation of the product      The transmission of rotation from the object's drive shaft to the encoder shaft is accomplished using a round-section shank through a drive coupling. The shaft rotates in ball bearings N 80019 GOST 7242-81. The sensor housing is mounted on the measuring wheel using a centering cylinder, which may be supplied with the encoder. A wheel with 10 or 20 slots is attached to the shaft, rotating in the slots of two optocouplers.       The design of the optocouplers' mounting allows, during setup, to change the angle of one optocouplers relative to the other so that when the shaft is rotated clockwise, the leading edge of the "Output 2" signal precedes the leading edge of the "Output 1" signal, and vice versa.      Phase shift allows for determining the direction of movement. The operation of the path sensor is based on the principle of interrupting radiation in the optical channel of optocouplers.
